｢EXTREME BROADCAST INVITE WOODY 92 / OCCA / TONER」

オランダのデルフト出身のWoody92は〈Omen Wapta〉と名付けられた学術的プラットフォームの設立者であり、DJとしてだけでなくキュレーター、美学家として、ダンスミュージックにおける新潮流の中でも一目を置かれているアーティストの1人である。彼は、瞑想的なテクノ、輝くミニマリズム、サイコアクティブな要素を持つレフトフィールドな音楽を深く探求し、DJとしての一般的な基準から大きくかけ離れた極めて特徴的なセットを創り上げる。ハーグの王立アカデミーにてファッションやアートのハイカルチャーを学びながら、その傍でデルフトの大きなギャバ・コミュニティに足を運んでいたWoody92ならではの独自のDJスタイルは、今や母国オランダに止まらず国境を越えて、世界各国のくせ者たちのエネルギーと好奇心を捉えてきている。
初来日となるそんなWoody92は、今回OCCAとYSKが主催する深淵なダンスミュージックに焦点を当てたイベント〈SECT〉にメインアクトとして招聘されているほか、群馬サイクルスポーツセンターで開催される〈PARAMOUNT〉への登壇がアナウンスされている。今回のDOMMUNEでは、先日はSPEKKI WEBUの来日ツアーを成功させたばかりである札幌拠点のOCCAに加えて、東京とベトナムを拠点にサイケデリックなアンビエントミュージックにフォーカスしたコミュニティ〈LIMINAL DREAMS〉を主宰するTonerの出演が決定した。先日開催されたアジアを牽引する台湾のorganik festivalにもキュレーションされていた三者によるコンセプチュアルな時空を超えるセッションを是非現場で体感して欲しい。

●Woody92（Omen Wapta）

Woody92の作品には、ビジョン、転覆、歴史、至福の各要素が生命の血液のように流れている。
常に魅力的なオランダの電子音楽シーンで活動するDJ、美学者、レーベルオーナー、実験家のWoody92は、その異なる多面的な持ち味を交互に、またそれらを混在させることにより独特の視点を具現化する多才なアーティストだ。
ヒプノティックなテクノ、輝くミニマリズム、サイコアクティブな要素を持つレフトフィールドなどを探求し、DJとして一般的な基準からはかけ離れた特徴的なセットを作り上げる。数多くのクラブなどにて独自のDJスタイルを確立し、母国のオランダに止まらず国境を越え、オーディエンスのエネルギーと好奇心を捉えてきた。彼の洗練された予測不可能なミックスは注目を集め、音楽キュレーターとしてますます高い評価を得ている。
オランダの西海岸、デルフトで生まれ、若い頃は隣接するハーグからのより刺激的な反響が彼の好奇心とクリエイティビティに影響をもたらした。Woodyの電子音楽の収集と再解釈への献身は、彼の美術教育と並行している。特にグラフィックデザイン、歴史と文化にインスパイアされ、これらの総合が2021年に立ち上げたレーベルおよび多分野のプラットフォーム「Omen Wapta」に具現化される。

A DJ, aesthete, label-owner and experimentalist operating within the consistently fascinating outer-reaches of the Dutch electronic music scene, Woody92 is a multi-faceted artist whose distinct perspective manifests itself across alternate yet intertwined sensory plains.
As a DJ, his expertly curated and characteristic sets deviate from the norm, exploring psychoactive strains of leftfield electronics, hypnotic techno and radiant minimalism. Woody92 previously cemented his singular and sophisticated DJ style at a number of clubs and institutions, but is equally respected for capturing the energy and curiosity of audiences in outsider spaces across his native Netherlands, as well as far beyond. His pristine yet unpredictable mixes have already left a unique musical footprint, establishing a quietly defiant reputation as a musical curator with increasingly rare depth and focus.
Born in the unassuming town of Delft on the West Coast of Holland, the more radical reverberations from neighbouring city The Hague had a subconscious and eventually more explicit effect on his youthful curiosity and creativity. Woody’s dedication to collecting and reinterpreting electronic music is both parallel and complimentary to his education in art, with a particular interest in graphic design, inspired by aesthetics throughout history and culture. The sum total of these passions manifests in Omen Wapta, a new record label and multidisciplinary platform launched by Woody92 in 2021.
Highlighting music and creative projects from an international but close-knit circle of friends and collaborators, Omen Wapta is inspired by communal histories in order to imagine a collaborative future, a 'transitory playground for the imagination' consisting of a broad spectrum of styles, encompassing fashion lines and design as well as sonic artefacts.
With the alchemy of Omen Wapta as the beating heart of his overall vision, Woody92 continues to challenge himself and others, fluidly curating a path to creative enlightenment and a patiently earned catharsis, both in the club and inspired by it.

●OCCA（ARCHIV）

日本の北端に位置する北海道札幌に在り聖域と称されるPrecious Hallで10年以上続けるARCHIVをホームとしながら、東京Ventや大阪Circusでもオーガナイズを試み、djとしても世界へと活動範囲を拡大する日本テクノシーンにおける特異点的存在。
Psychedelic Musicのスピリチュアリズム、House Musicのストーリー性、Detroit TechnoのSFディストピア感、Minimal Musicのトランスなど、混在する多角的要素を能動的なミックスで立体的に配置する事により時間/空間/精神を未知なる領域へアセンションさせる事を目的とする。
その類稀な存在を見出され、DJ NOBUのFuture Terror、MindgamesのThe Labyrinth/ Balanceでのプレイ、近年のEUツアーではSpekki WebuのMirro Zone 5 Years Tour、System Revival、Georgiaの名門Bassianiへの出演、コンスタントに続けるAsiaツアーなど、彼への共鳴の輪は広がり続けている。

OCCA has been organising ARCHIV for over 10 years at the sacred club, Precious Hall in Sapporo, located in the northernmost region of Japan, Hokkaido. With his own party ARCHIV at the core, he has been expanding his scope of activities from all over Japan to the rest of the world.
As an entity of singularity, he aims to transform time/space/spirit into unknown realms by arranging multifaceted elements such as the spiritualism of Psychedelic Music, the storytelling nature of House Music, the sci-fi dystopian feel of Detroit Techno and the trance of Minimal Music in a three-dimensional way through his deft mixing. His rare presence has been recognised and he has been invited to play at DJ NOBU's Future Terror, Mindgames' The Labyrinth/Balance, and in recent years, has been invited to parties in Asia, Spekki Webu's Mirror Zone 5 Years Tour in EU, System Revival and Georgia's prestigious Bassiani, his circle of resonance continues to spread out.

●TONER（LIMINAL DREAMS）

映画世界から大いな影響を受けて育ったTonerは、台灣在住時代に邂逅したオルタナティブでアンダーグラウンドな音楽シーンでモダンテクノの洗礼を受けて、日本に帰国したのち、流れるままに東京を中心としたクラブ・野外レイヴシーンの虜になる。DJ活動を開始する以前から、多くのイベントにサポーターやレポーターとして携わってきた経歴を持ち、ダンス・ミュージックの境界線を拡張し続けるホット・スポットへと深く潜り込んできた。2022年からはToss、Kaanaらと共にエレクトロニック・アンビエントミュージックにフォーカスしたコミュニティ ”LIMINAL DREAMS” を始動させ、東京でのイベントのディレクションを担っている。
“LIMINAL DREAMS”は、60年代から脈絡のあるサイケデリックチルアウトカルチャーへのオマージュであり、現代における前衛的な電子音楽を融合させた風変わりな音楽マニアたちのコミュニティである。現在は東京とベトナムを拠点にイベントを開催し、欧米とアジアのアンビエントシーンを繋ぐ架け橋となっている。DJとしてのTonerは、強固なミニマリズムを持ったユーモラスな楽曲の奏者であり、ビートを超えて豊かなストーリーを奏でることのできるDJだ。

Toner grew up heavily influenced by movies, and was baptized into modern techno in the alternative underground music scene he encountered while living in Taiwan. After returning to Japan, he became a captive of the club and rave scene around Tokyo. Before starting his DJ career, he has been involved in many events as a supporter and reporter, diving deep into the hot spots that continue to expand the boundaries of dance musics.
Since 2022, he launched the community called "LIMINAL DREAMS" focusing on electronic ambient music with Toss and Kaana, and he has been directed the events in Tokyo. "LIMINAL DREAMS" is homage to the psychedelic chill-out culture that has been around since the 60's, and its community is for music enthusiasts of quirky contemporary electronic music. The event series are currently based in Tokyo and Vietnam, and recognized as a bridge between the ambient scene in the West to Asia.
Toner as a DJ has a strong minimalism approach to his musics. He is a humorous player and can weave a various story beyond the beat.
