科学技術の急速な進展、気候変動や災害、戦争、ジェンダーや人種・経済などによる社会の非対称…様々な問題が絡まり合う現代は、混沌の様相を呈しています。そのような時代においてアーティストは、世界の深淵に触れ、批評的・詩的な表現によって社会に問いかける存といえます。「混沌に愛／遭い！」では、ヨーロッパと東京のサウンド＆メディアアーティストが、「ケア」をめぐって展示、対話、ライブなどを展開します。彼ら彼女らの多様な実践や知見をともに共有していくこと。それは精神や社会におけるケアの創発へと向かうとともに、動植物や環境、地球へのケアへとつながることでしょう。「混沌」を創造的な循環の可能態と見なし、アートを通して未来のケアを挑発し、そしてケアするささやかな実践「混沌に愛／遭い！」。ご参加をお待ちしています！

■「 Konton-ni-Ai! / Ai ‘Love / Encounter’ CHAOS」- Digging Deep into Care by Sound&Media Art by connecting Europe and Tokyo

Rapid progress in science and technology, climate change, disasters, wars, social asymmetries vis-a-vis gender, race, economy, etc. Contemporary world is a chaotic mess of intertwined affairs. In such an era, artists try touch the depths of the world and question society through critical and poetic expression. “Konton-ni-Ai!/ Ai ‘Love/Encounter’ CHAOS”, sound and media artists from Europe and Tokyo hold exhibitions, discourses, and live performances broadly pivoting on the notion of “care”. Sharing diverse practices and ways of knowing with one another and the general public, they aspire the emergence of a care-informed understanding for society, animals, plants, the environment, and our planet. “Konton-ni-Ai!” is a practice that views “chaos” as a potential state of creative reciprocity, provoking and caring for the future through art. We look forward to your participation!

メディア、サウンドアートやDIY 文化をカバーする『Neural』（イタリア）創刊30 周年を記念し、編集長であるルドヴィーコを迎え、1990 年代初頭からメディアアートのキュレーションに携わる四方と1997年開館のNTT インターコミュニケーション・センター[ICC] に1997 年の開館以来学芸員を務める畠中が、メディアアートの30年の展開と展望を語ります。MCはDOMMUNE総裁、宇川直宏。

AIと協奏するオーディオビジュアルユニット。自作ソフトウェアを駆使した表現を得意とするプログラマのKakuya Shiraishi、想像力とテクノロジーの関係を探求するアーティストのScott Allenによる。メンバーそれぞれが音響/映像の両方に携わり、自作のライブコーディング環境で学習させたAIを使用した音響生成や、データの視覚化、生成モデルを使用して、フレキシブル にパフォーマンスを行う。

Audiovisual unit that collaborates with AI. Kakuya Shiraishi is a programmer who specializes in expression through self-made software, and Scott Allen, an artist exploring the relationship between imagination and technology. Each member is involved in both audio and video, and performs flexibly, using AI trained in a self-made live coding environment to generate sound, visualize data, and use generative models.

Artist, scholar, and creative technologist. Director of MAD (Media Arts&Design Research Lab).He is broadly interested in the materiality of self-generative systems, (post-)digital objecthood, sound, image, data, electronic circuitry,perception, selfhood, landscapes/environments, and the media/ technologies we rely upon to mediate, probe, interact with. ●Fani Konstantinidou（The Netherlands&Greece）

Composer, performer. Konstantinidou is interested in the sonic imprints of cultural,cross-cultural, and social identities. Her main topics of interest are the urban and rural sonic environments, spoken language, and musical instruments intertwined with local cultures. Her research is concentrated on the cultural impact in the making of contemporary music. She is one of the founding members of Stichting New Emergences, a platform advocating on diversity in electronic music and sound art, by highlighting the presence and absence of women, LGBTQ+ communities, and all under-represented voices.

Artist, researcher, organizer. Her works range sculpture, sound, drawing, video, interactivity and performance.Pickett is a member of the Artists collective APO33 and she is currently teaching art and Techniques for representation at The Nantes School of Architecture.

アーティスト、キュレーター、メディアアクティビスト。サウンドアート、リアルタイムビデオ、ニューテクノロジー、ボディパフォーマンスを組み合わせたリサーチやクリエイティブな活動に携わる。1997 年以来音声を使用した作曲作品とコンピュータによる音声の変換の開発、Puredata でのオーディオ／ビジュアルプログラムやDIY 電子機器を開発、デジタル アート、A/V、ストリーミングの普及のための Gnu/Linux オペレーティング システム APODIO の主要な開発者。長年にわたり自律的な集団グループの創設における実験的実践と集団的実践の関係を考察し、「芸術イデオロギー」の著者戦略に疑問を投げかけてきた存在。

●Julien Ottavi（France）

Artist, curator, media activist. He is involved in research and creative work, combining sound art, real-time video,new technologies and body performances. Since 1997, he has developed composition work using voice and its transformation through computers. Active developer of audio/visual programs with Puredata, he has also developed for many years DIY electronics. Main developer for the Gnu/Linux operating system APODIO for digital art and A/V & streaming diffusion. For many years he has reflected on the relations between experimental practices and collective practices within the creation of autonomous collective groups, putting in question the authorship strategy of the “art ideology”.

Composer, base player, musician. His work in the no man's land between "academic” composition (orchestra, ensembles, opera) and electronic "new music" or "noise music”. Has won several prizes and distinctions. In 1997 he stayed as an artist at Villa Kujoyama (Kyoto), /Got numerous commissions from the French Government, the radio and from electronic studios such as Ircam, GRM , GMEM, CRFMW, EMS. Has integrated the computer into the very heart of his work, as a tool of thought and composition, and as a live instrument, hybridising more traditional instruments if necessary, or working on the sheer electronic noise.

Electroacoustic music composer, experimental songwriter, organizer. Born 1958 in Copenhagen. Artist, DJ, head of Hypermedia Record Label. In 2015 he co-founded Hypermedium, amassed a diverse roster of international artists and aiming to showcase contemporary directions in electronic music. In 2018, he took part in the creation of Ubique, where he also led a series of seminars. Ubique acted as a platform that examined technical and aesthetic issues relating to modern soundmaking such as digital audio synthesis, aesthetics and philosophy of contemporary art, phenomenological and ecological approaches to sound, sensory interaction, online music applications, and other relevant issues.

1968 年生まれ。NTT インターコミュニケーション･センター[ICC] 主任学芸員／学芸課長。1996年の開館準備よりICCに携わり、多数の展覧会を手がける。近年の展覧会は、「ICC アニュアル2023 ものごとのかたち」、「坂本龍一トリビュート展　音楽／アート／メディア」（ともに2023年）。美術および音楽批評。著書に『メディア・アート原論』（久保田晃弘との共編著、フィルムアート社、2018年）がある。

●Minoru Hatanaka（JAPAN）

Born in 1968, chief curator at the NTT InterCommunication Center [ICC], he has been involved in the activities of ICC since 1996, prior to the facility’s opening. He has been involved in numerous exhibitions every year. Recent exhibitions include “ICC Annual 2023: The Shape of Things” and “Tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto: Music / Art / Media” (both 2023). He also writes on art and music.

●宇川直宏（日本）

現在美術家。映像作家、グラフィックデザイナー、VJ、文筆家、キュレーター、大学教授、そして“ 現在美術家” など極めて多岐にわたる活動を展開する。2010年、ライブストリーミングチャンネル「DOMMUNE」を開局し、毎夜、オルタナティヴプログラムを世界に配信。宇川はDOMMUNE スタジオで日々産み出される番組の、撮影行為、配信行為、記録行為を、自らの「現在美術作品」と位置づける。2021年、第71 回芸術選奨文部科学大臣賞受賞。2023年、練馬区立美術館での個展 ｢宇川直宏展｜ FINALMEDIA THERAPIST @DOMMUNE」

●Ukawa Naohiro（JAPAN）

Current Artist. He engages in an extremely wide range of activities, including a videographer, graphic designer, VJ, writer, curator, university professor. In 2010, he launched the live streaming channel “DOMMUNE”, which broadcasts alternative programs to the world every night. Ukawa considers the acts of filming, distributing, and recording the programs produced every day at DOMMUNE Studio to be his “current works of art.” In 2021, won the 71st Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for Art Encouragement. ●Yukiko Shikata（JAPAN）

Curator, critic. President of AICA (International Association of Art Critics) Japan, artistic Director of “Forest for Dialogue and Creativity”. Visiting professor at Tama Art University and Tokyo Zokei University, lecturer at Musashino Art University and Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences (IAMAS) and Kyoto University of the Arts. Her activities traverse existing fields by focusing on “Information flows”. In parallel, working as a curator of Cannon ARTLAB (1990-2001), Mori Art Museum (2002-2004), senior curator of NTT InterCommunication Center[ICC] (2004-2010), as an independent curator, realized many experimental exhibitions and projects.
