｢DREAMESCAPE invites BASSIANI」BROADJ#3382

■世界最高峰のクラブBASSIANIのResident DJであるHVLとKvanchiがDJを披露する。

ALL ELECTRONIC MUSICをテーマに掲げるDREAMESCAPEは、これまでにAKIRAM EN、Alessandro Adriani、Haruka、Konduku、Resom、Vladimir Ivkovic等といった国内外の極めて先鋭的な電子音楽家達を交え、先端のElectronic music soundを提案している。今回は、現行のテクノシーンにおいて世界最高峰のクラブと称賛されるジョージアの首都トビリシに位置する“BASSIANI”の創成期から、Resident DJとして一翼を担うHVLとKvanchiが3/15土にMITSUKIでDJ setを披露する。本祭後の3/17月に、DOMMUNEにてAfter partyを兼ねたLive streamingを開催決定。

DREAMESCAPE, which has been YUI's open-close DJing with the theme of ALL ELECTRONIC MUSIC, has featured AKIRAM EN and Haruka from Tokyo, Alessandro Adriani,Konduku,Resom, Vladimir Ivkovic and others from abroad.
This time, HVL and Kvanchi, long-time resident DJs at BASSIANI in Tbilisi, Georgia, which is considered one of the best clubs in the current techno scene, will be performing a DJ set at MITSUKI on March 15. In addition, they will be performing at DOMMUNE with Imus, a local DJ from Tokyo, on March 17.

David Datunashviliとのエレクトロニックミュージック・デュオ"Okinawa Lifestyle"としての側面を持つGigiJikia(aka HVL)は、ジョージアはトビリシに位置するテクノ・クラブ"Bassiani/Horoom"のレジデントであり、トビリシのクラブシーンを中心に隆盛を見せるテクノ・ムーブメントを担う存在でもある。2013年にHVLとしてプロデューサー/DJのソロ活動を開始して以来、"Bassiani Records"、"Rough House Rosie"、"Tabernacle Records"、"Organic Analogue"といったアンダーグラウンドの中でも先鋭的なレーベルから自身の楽曲を発表している。近年、HVLはセレクターおよびDJとしての地位を高めていき、"BERGHAIN"、"Hï Ibiza"、"Berlin Atonal"等といった世界最高峰のダンスフロアで精巧に作り上げたLive setとDJを披露してきた。

First coming to attention as a member of Okinawa Lifestyle duo in 2009, Bassiani/Horoomresident Gigi Jikia a.k.aHVL has become a leading voice of thriving techno movementcentered around Tbilisi club scene. Since starting solo career in 2013, HVL was busy exploringmore diverse range of genres and styles. His solo releases which have appeared onunderground outposts like Bassiani Records, Rough House Rosie, Tabernacle Records andOrganic Analogue, have testified to taste that’s also reflected in his Live performances and DJsets.The outstanding debut Ostati LP on Organic Analogue Records (2018), intended as amanuscript of the sound of Tbilisi, is a seductive update on the established HVL’s dynamics,centered on outboard house and techno with a noticeably understated mood.As HVL’s reputation as a solo artist grows, so does his status as a selector and DJ. Jikia hastaken his skillfully crafted Live shows and DJ sets to new heights in 2018, hitting up some ofthe best dancefloors in the world from Berghain and Hï Ibiza to infamous Berlin Atonal.

DJ/ProducerのKvanchiはBASSIANI/HOROOMのレジデントである。キャリアの初期には、デトロイト・シカゴ・ニューヨーク特有のサウンドが彼にとって重要な要素となり、創作活動の方向性を決定づけた。「私にとってDJとは、その場の雰囲気を損なうことなく、様々な状況の中で観客に異なる感情を伝えることだ。」とKvanchiは語る。そして、BASSIANI/HOROOMでのレジデンシーは彼にとって大きな責任を伴い、音楽の多様性を提供し、観客に新鮮さを感じさせることが不可欠だと考えている。

‘Kvanchi’ is a DJ, producer, He is a resident atBASSIANI/HOROOM. During the earlyperiod of his career, sounds characteristic to Detroit, Chicago and New York proved to becrucial for him and defined his creativework.“For me, DJing is about the ability to communicate distinct emotions to the crowd in differentsituations,while not loosing the sense of the environment”, says Kvanchi. According to him,residency atBASSIANI/HOROOM is a great responsibility. He believes that it is vital for theresident artist to be able to provide musical diversity, and to offer a sense of freshness to thecrowd.

1995年生まれ、東京を拠点に活動するDJ。テクノとベースミュージックに感化され活動を開始後、エクスペリメンタルなサウンドを軸に、マインドトリップとフィジカルの折衷点を探りながら、都内のテクノパーティーを中心に全国各地の様々な現場でプレイを重ねる。2022年”Keep Hush Tokyo”、23年”FUTURE TERROR”等へ出演するほか、NTS Radio等にスロー&ダウンビートMIXを提供し、独自の世界観を追求し続けている。23年冬より実験的な電子音楽にフォーカスし、マシン、バンド、ダンスミュージックが交差する”eulb”をスタート。

Imus is a DJ based in Tokyo. She evolved in the small club and local rave scene of Tokyo, witha delicate and profound audiophile experience.Shebecame active over the past few years andhas played all over Japan, performed at various parties such as Keep Hush Tokyo2022,FUTURE TERROR in 2023 and mainly performed at techno and experimental partiesand events.She is the founder of eulb, an intersection of machine, band, and dance that focuses on theaesthetic aspects of electronic and spiritual sounds.
