｢rural 2026 @DOMMUNE」A Pre - Peak Experience

■電子音楽における審美眼と、その場に流れる時間そのものを設計するという思想。 「rural」は、ダンスミュージックを“鳴らす”場ではなく、“編み上げる”場として、長年にわたり独自の位置を築いてきました。

2026年、その思想はさらに拡張されます。連続する時間の中に、新たに複数のインスタレーションが導入され、空間における知覚のレイヤーが広がります。音だけでなく、光や構造、身体感覚を通じて場を捉える試みが、随所に組み込まれています。中国・広州発のインディペンデントフィルムクラブ「独角放送室｜UNICORN IMAGE」もそのひとつです。フロアから少し離れ、視覚と静けさに身を委ねる時間が、この場の輪郭に新たな奥行きを与えます。都市でもクラブでもない、この猪苗代の環境において、音楽・アート・自然・人がそれぞれの距離で交わっていく。 ruralは、その重なりの中で、この場にしか存在しない時間を紡いでいきます。
DOMMUNE公演では、本祭でOCCAとのB2Bセットが注目されているSpekki Webuがソロセットで登壇。また、台湾から前衛的なイベントを開催し、ユーモア溢れる選曲が光るYuY、昨年はrural本祭へも出演し、安定感と実験性を兼ね備えたteppeiの3名がDOMMUNEへ出演します。

■An Aesthetic Vision for Electronic Music—and the Philosophy of Designing Time Itself. For many years, rural has established a singular position within contemporary electronic music—not simply as a place where dance music is played, but as a space where time itself is carefully woven together.

In 2026, this philosophy expands even further. A series of new installations will be introduced throughout the festival, opening up additional layers of spatial perception across the continuous flow of time. Beyond sound, the festival incorporates light, architecture, and embodied experience, inviting visitors to engage with the environment through multiple senses.
Among these new additions is UNICORN IMAGE (独角放送室), an independent film collective from Guangzhou, China. Stepping away from the dancefloor, audiences are invited to immerse themselves in moving images and moments of quiet contemplation, adding a new dimension to the festival's spatial experience.
Neither an urban event nor a conventional club festival, rural exists within the unique natural landscape of Inawashiro, where music, art, nature, and people encounter one another while maintaining their own distinct rhythms and distances. It is through these overlapping relationships that rural continues to create a singular experience of time—one that can exist nowhere else.
For the DOMMUNE showcase, Spekki Webu, whose B2B set with OCCA is one of the highlights of this year's festival, will appear with a special solo performance. Also joining the program are YuY from Taiwan, renowned for organizing adventurous underground events and for her playful, unpredictable selections, and teppei, who appeared at last year's rural festival and is celebrated for balancing consistency with a spirit of experimentation.
Together, these three artists bring distinct perspectives that embody the evolving spirit of rural to DOMMUNE.

●Spekki Webu（MIRROR ZONE｜from NETHERLANDS）

多才で柔軟、そしてどこか落ち着きのなさを内包した存在─それらは、分野を横断するアーティスト Spekki Webu が切り拓く無限の可能性を形づくる要素である。オランダ・デルフト出身の彼は、自身が主宰する〈Mirror Zone〉を拠点に、過去と現在が衝突する拡張し続ける音楽世界を構築している。
ガバやテクノ・ムーブメントへの深い関与によって形成されたWebuのサウンドは、持続的かつ儀式的と形容できる。DJセット、ライブパフォーマンス、そして音源制作のいずれにおいても、鋭い精度と触覚的なアプローチによって時間と空間を解体していく。既存の枠組みに挑み続ける自然な姿勢のもと、彼のプロダクションは〈Amniote〉〈Blue Hour〉〈Positive Source〉といったレーベルから発表されてきた。
Spekki Webuはポリマス（多分野に通じた表現者）とも言える存在である。その音響的ビジョンは〈Mirror Zone〉および〈Optic Portal〉というレーベルを通じて具現化されている。さらに作曲家、サウンドデザイナーとして、〈Signal Transmutations〉と名付けられたAVプロジェクトや空間インスタレーションを展開し、Lunchmeat、FIBER、De School、Nxt Museumなどで発表を行ってきた。
高いエネルギーを内包しながらも精神性は内省的であり、Spekki Webuは実験性とリズムの交差点をアヴァンギャルドな手法で横断するアーティストである。

Versatile, resourceful, and with an edge of restlessness - elements that shape the limitless possibilities of multidisciplinary artist Spekki Webu. Hailing from the humble city of Delft in The
Netherlands, the Mirror Zone head shapes an ever-expanding musical realm where past and present collide.
Formed by his involvement within the gabber and tekno movement, Webu cultivates a sound that can be described as persistent and ritualistic. Whether in his DJ sets, live performances, or music productions, he deconstructs time and space with fierce precision and tactility. With a natural tendency to challenge the status quo, his productions found a home on labels such as Amniote, Blue Hour, and Positive Source.
Webu can be described as a polymath. His sonic vision is translated through his Mirror Zone label / Optic Portal label. As a composer and sound designer, he traverses multidisciplinary dimensions with his Signal Transmutations AV project and spatial installations presented at places like Lunchmeat, FIBER, De School, and Nxt Museum.
High in energy but introspective in spirit, Spekki traverses the crossroads of experimentalism and rhythm in an avant-garde way.

Yu Chuanとしても知られるYuYは、2015年にアートを学ぶためヘルシンキへ移住し、KAIKUやPost Barといった象徴的なVenueで定期的にプレイするなど、現地の音楽シーンで存在感を示してきた。パンデミックを機に帰国後も、ローカルシーンへの関わりを継続している。
洗練された美意識と、静かでありながら強く惹きつけるスタイルで知られる彼の音楽は、その人柄と同じく控えめでありながら、確かな印象を残している。レフトフィールド、エクスペリメンタル、ハウス、テクノ、ベースミュージック、ダブといった多様な要素を自在に織り交ぜ、独自の音響的風景を描き出している。
YuYのDJセットは、ダンサブルなリズムと内省的な静けさのあわいを漂いながら、聴き手を明確な境界線のない空間へと静かに誘うだろう。

YuY, also known as Yu Chuan, moved to Helsinki in 2015 to study art and soon became active in the local music scene, playing regularly at iconic venues like KAIKU and Post Bar. After returning during the pandemic, he continues contributing to the local scene. Known for his refined aesthetic and subtle yet captivating style, his music—like his personality—is understated but impossible to ignore. Yuy skillfully blends diverse sonic textures, weaving together elements of leftfield, experimental, house, techno, bass-driven, and dub influences to craft his own unique sonic landscape. His DJ sets often hover between danceable rhythms and introspective stillness, inviting listeners into a space where no clear lines need to be drawn.

●teppei（Depth、NUCKLE）

茨城出身のDJ。図太いダビーな音、細く繊細な音。千差万別の音像を巧みに拾い上げ、コンセプチュアルなサウンドスケープを呈示し、構築/脱構築の循環に呼応するポリリズミックなグルーヴは、瞑想的な世界観を醸しながら、ダンスフロアを高揚させる。
渋谷・翠月では〈Depth〉を主催、またエクスペリメンタルミュージックに照準を合わせた〈NUCKLE〉を不定期に共催している。

A DJ from Ibaraki, Japan.Drawing from a vast spectrum of sonic textures—from thick, dubby sounds to delicate and intricate tones—he skillfully weaves together diverse sound images into conceptual soundscapes. His polyrhythmic grooves resonate with a continuous cycle of construction and deconstruction, cultivating a meditative atmosphere while elevating the energy of the dance floor. He is the founder of Depth, a party series based at Mitsuki in Shibuya, and also co-organizes NUCKLE, an occasional event focused on experimental music.
